Alla Cassidy, a bubbly little Russian girl whom we met in Deal during our June training weekend, is aiming to be the first Russian female to swim solo across the English Channel.

On Mon 30 July Alla writes:

Hello All,
Thanks for all your support and believe in me.
My swim should be tomorrow, 31.07.07 at 8am.
I hope the weather stay nice.
It was so nice to see my family they gave me more energy, especially my gorgeous niece. But they fly back to Siberia tomorrow, i hope i finish by the time they lend it there.
I am very exited and happy.
I will let you know as soon as possible about it.

Update 2.22pm : Just entered the shipping lane so about 1/3 done. Alla swimming comfortably.
